Allah let the believers rely

If ALLAH Helps You

Tawakkul in Allah includes tawakkul in His provision of rizq. 50,000 years before the creation of the universe. If God is your helper, no one can defeat you. However, if He abandons you, who would help you? True believers trust in God. If Allah should aid you, no one can overcome you; but if He should forsake you, who is there that can aid you after Him? And upon Allah let the believers rely on. And says:

“Say: Nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us: He is our Protector: And on Allah let the believers put their trust.” (Surah At-Tawba 9:51)

Our test in this world is of the means we choose to earn these provisions. Do we adopt halal means and work seeking the pleasure of Allah; or do we resort to haraam, not trusting the rizq to come to us through halal means? If Allah is your helper none can overcome you, and if He withdraw His help from you, who is there who can help you after Him? Allah says:

“And put (your) trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.” (Surat Ash-Shura 26:217)

In Allah let believers put their trust. If God helps you, none can overcome you; but if He forsakes you, who then can help you after Him? Therefore in God let the believers put all their trust. Allah says:

“If Allah helps you, then not (can) overcome [for] you, and if He forsakes you, then who (is) the one who can help you after Him? And on Allah – let the believers put (their).” (Surah Al ‘Imran 3: 160)

The significant element that should always be kept in mind is the omnipotence of Allah (SWT). Therefore our actions and the material resources available to us do not guarantee the outcome of any of our undertakings. For example, our material and physical strength may deceive us into believing that victory on a battlefield is inevitable. Allah says:

“So because (of) Mercy from Allah you dealt gently with them. And if you had been rude (and) harsh (at) [the] heart, surely they (would have) dispe from around you. Then pardon [from] them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. Then when you have decided, then put trust in Allah. Indeed, Allah loves the ones who put trust (in Him” (Surah Al ‘Imran 3:159)

The truth is that our strength or weakness has no bearing on the outcome of the battle, and it is only by the will of Allah that we become victorious or get defeated by the enemy. It was this firm belief that leads a handful of Muslims during and after the time of the Prophet (saw) to fight so valiantly against a formidable enemy over and over again.
