Kindness is the moment of reflection

Ways to Spread Kindness

In Islam, kindness is a very important part of a Muslim’s expression of faith. This highly praised manner solves all matters and affairs, corrects all errors, adjusts our conduct, and guides us to excellent morals and virtues in a better way and with an impressive and effective method. kindness is a natural result of faith and the outstanding virtues of humanity. The believer is gracious, for there is no goodness in one who is neither kind nor friendly. Allah says:

“Nothing is the life of this world but play and amusement, but best is the Home in the Hereafter, for those who are righteous, will you not then understand?” (Surah Al-An`am 6:32)

Allah loves kindness and gentleness in all matters, so we should manifest these qualities even when we face abuse and cruelty. We should keep our faith that Allah will reward us who spread kindness with kindness. Spreading kindness in our lives is what Allah obligates us to do. When we follow the path of Islam, by having so much indulgence to do kindness, we will surely be in the path of Allah, and He will guide us till the end. Allah says:

“Woe to those who pray, who are heedless of their prayer, who pray to be seen and withhold small acts of kindness.” (Surah Al-Maun 107:4-7)

Kindness is one of the good deeds we can do to achieve Allah’s paradise and become the dweller of it forever. When we do kindness, we will have a glimpse of the moment to think and reflect on our deeds while we do good to others. Reflection makes us do better and better good things as possible.

Kindness moves on its own. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. God calls all people to live by moral values.  A kind person will bring out food for you without you even having to ask. You can be nice and not care. You can be nice to someone and still not like them. It happens all the time in this world. Allah says:

“Speak to him mildly that perhaps he may remember or fear Allah.” (Surat Ta-Ha 20:44)

Once you realize that this life is only an exam for you to pass it well,  you will realize that you need to do good things. The realization is something important to achieve because when we already realize that, we will wholeheartedly have kindness upon us. The law of life is getting what we give. So, when we do good things, we receive good things too. Allah says:

“Whoever does righteousness – it is for his [own] soul, and whoever does evil [does so] against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants.” (Surah Fussilat 41:46)

kindness takes patience, persistence, and self-compassion, a reminder we need more than once per day. Being kind to yourself isn’t about feeling good. After all, doing what feels good isn’t always what’s best for us. But taking the time to compliment yourself, to nurture your self-compassion, sends a message to future you that she matters. That’s a gift worth giving.

Allah Almighty says in The Holy Quran:

  • “You are magnificent.” (Surah Al-Qalam: 4)
  • “Lo! Allah enjoins justice and kindness….” (Surah An-Nahl: 90)
  • “The reward of goodness is nothing but goodness.” (Al Quran 55:61)
  • “And as for those who strive in Our path — We will surely guide them in Our ways. And Indeed, Allah is with those who are of service to others.” (Qur’an 29:70)
  • “And there is the type of man who gives his life to earn the pleasure of Allah. And Allah is full of kindness to (His) devotees.” (Surah Al-Baqara, 207)
  • “Or that He may not call them to account by a process of slow wastage – for thy Lord is indeed full of kindness and mercy.” (Surah An-Nahl, 47)
  • “Were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, and that Allah is full of kindness and mercy, (ye would be ruined indeed).” (Surah An-Nur, 20)
  • “Peace be upon you because you persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home!” (Surah Ar-Ra`d 13:24)
  • “My Lord! bestow on them thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood.” (Surah Al-Isra, 24)

God’s kind words have a major impact on our lives. They comfort us, encourage us, inspire us, guide us, etc. Kind words were spoken at the right time to affect people. As human beings, we need to act kindly to achieve a better life. Islam itself has taught humans to be righteous and kind to others. Believe it, Allah concerns for us because he is kind and merciful. By knowing about that, we as his believers should reflect his kindness by spreading goodness among us. Allah says:

“And those who believe and do good deeds, they are dwellers of Paradise, they dwell therein forever.” (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:82)

According to Islam, everyone has the right to live freely by his beliefs, whatever they may be. We should keep our faith that Allah will reward us who spread kindness with kindness. Spreading kindness in our lives is what Allah obligates us to do. When we follow the path of Islam, by having so much indulgence to do kindness, we will surely be in the path of Allah, and He will guide us till the end. Allah says:

“Do no mischief on the earth, after it hath been set in order, but call on Him with fear and longing (in your hearts): for the Mercy of Allah is (always) near to those who do good.” (Surah Al-Araf, 7:56)

Allah is not only the Gracious and the Merciful, but, also wants humanity to be gracious and merciful, to each other. Allah loves kindness and gentleness in all matters, so we should manifest these qualities even when we face abuse and cruelty. Nothing but virtue, goodness, or real holiness is the object of God’s complacency. May Allah give us opportunities to do many ways of acts of kindness for His pleasure and reward our best life, especially in the Hereafter.
