Ultar Peak is situated in the Batura group of mountains in the Karakorum range, which starts from Chalt village Bar valley to Kampir Dior in Kurumbar valley, which cuts The Pamir and Hindukush ranges from Karakorum.This beautiful mountain lies in center Hunza region 103 km, from Gilgit and 715 km from the capital city of Islamabad. The surrounding peaks are Lady finger, Marble Peak, Harchinder Peak, Passu Peak, Diran and other famous high mountains.
The surrounding glaciers are Attabad, Ultar, Hassan Abad and Batura.Ultar Sar is the southeasternmost major peak of the Batura Muztagh, a subrange of the Karakoram range. It lies about 10 km northeast of the Karimabad, a town on the Karakoram Highway in the Hunza Valley, part of the Gilgit District of Gilgit–Baltistan, Pakistan.
