God can turn your situation around. There is nothing He cannot do. No situation is too hard or impossible. We need to get God’s help to turn situations around. There is nothing too hard for God. He is limitless in power and ability. Things that look impossible to us are nothing before Him. There is no sickness too great and no problem too overwhelming that God cannot overcome. He is the Almighty God and His power is able. God is never neglecting your life. Allah says:
“If Allah helps you, then not (can) overcome [for] you, and if He forsakes you, then who (is) the one who can help you after Him? And on Allah – let the believers put (their).” (Surah Al-Imran 3:160)
In general, we are living in some troubling times. Remember that nothing can harm you without the consent of God. While you must take care of yourself, rely on God and know that He is always with you and only He can give you strength in difficult times. God is the Creator of all of mankind as well as this universe and everything in it. God calls you to give thanks. He is always working in your life and in the world. Allah says:
“The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful. When his verses are recited to them, it increases their faith, and they rely upon their Lord.” (Surat al-Anfal 8:2)
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The best way to thank God is to serve humanity, especially those who have less than you. Serving others is uplifting and rewarding. It helps us gain a better perspective on life’s challenges, making us realize how very often, our problems seem so small compared to the awesome difficulties others face. But we should also be trusting Him in all circumstances. Allah says:
“Do not invoke besides Allah that which neither benefits you nor harms you, for if you did so then you would-be wrongdoers.” (Surah Yunus 10:106)
“God suffices me and He is the best guardian.” It is an excellent way of reminding us that whatever worries we have or problems we face, God has the answer and cure to all of them and is the only One who can really do what is best for us. Faith is unseen but felt, faith is strengthened when we feel we have none, faith is hope when all seems lost.
Here are some solid principles for trusting God in difficult times:
- God trusting in means starting your day with a positive plan
- God trusting means repenting of the sin in your life
- God trusting trying of your faith worketh patience
- God trusting means let not your heart be troubled
- God trusting means you go to God and His word

- God trusting in hard times means letting go
- God trusting Walk in the Holy Spirit
- God trusts and considers all possibility
- Trusting God means waiting on God’s timing
- God trusting means acting on obedience and trust
- God trusting means ultimately taking care of the rest
- God trusting means thinking about obstacles as blessings
- God trusting acknowledge that His character is trustworthy
- God trusting means a grateful heart is a beginning of greatness
Life is not predictable. There are ups and downs along the way. Many of us want to trust God. When times are good, it can feel easier. But when times feel difficult, it is even more important to trust God. God’s unchanging character can give us a firm foundation when things feel unsteady and uncertain. Allah says:
“When inclined two parties among you that they lost heart, but Allah (was) their protector. And on Allah let put (their) trust the believers.” (Surah Al-Imran 3:122)
Shaytan is the source of many of our negative emotions. It’s his job to make us feel pessimistic and to despair of any good in life. Trusting God in hard times takes an understanding of His willingness to help us when we need Him. If you trust someone, you feel comfortable being honest with them about anything. God is much more reliable than even your most trustworthy friend. When things feel difficult, He doesn’t ask you to keep those feelings to yourself. Allah says:
“Allah, (there is) no god except Him. And upon Allah let put (their) trust the believers.” (Surah At-Taghabun 64:13)
God never promised us, that life would be easy. Most of the time God’s timing does not match what we want for our lives. We grow the most spiritually, during our struggles. And so trusting God in difficult times really just has to become a way of life. Hard times come and go. But keeping our faith in God will result in greater blessings and rewards in Heaven.
Allah Almighty says in The Holy Quran:
- “He is the Disposer of all Affairs.” (Quran 6:102)
- “Allah is sufficient as Disposer of Affairs.” (Quran 4:81)
- “And in Allah let the believers put their trust.” (Quran 5:11)
- “Certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).” (Quran: 3:159)
- “Whoever relied upon Allah, then He will suffice him.” (Surah Al-Talaq 65:3)
- “They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are successful.” (Al-Baqarah, 2:5)
- “So put thy Trust in Allah. for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth.” (An-Naml 79)
- “And put thy Trust in Allah, and enough is Allah as a disposer of affairs.” (Al-Ahzab, 3)
- “And consult them in the affair. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah.” (Quran 3:159)
God’s Word is loaded with promises that teach us about having faith in God during hard times. He tells us to not worry, to pray and He will give us peace like you can’t imagine. Trusting God is not about ignoring your feelings or reality. Trusting God is living a life of belief in and obedience to God even when it’s difficult. Spend regular time with God. Allah says:
“Then they said, “Upon Allah, we put our trust. Our Lord! (Do) not make us a trial for the people – the wrongdoers.” (Surah Yunus 10:85)
God loves you, you can show your trust in Him by talking about all your feelings. Don’t let your emotions rule your life; bring them to God so He can help you address them. He is not disappointed or frustrated by your struggles, doubts or pain. He cares about you, and you can trust Him with those things. God is present amid the bad times as well as the good. God wants you to go to Him with your circumstances. He also wants you to come to Him simply to spend time with Him. You should not let your circumstances shape your relationship with God. Allah says:
“So put your trust in Allah, indeed, you (are) on the truth manifest.” (Surah An-Naml 27:79)
It is one thing to know the truth. But it is sometimes hard to believe it when life takes unexpected turns. You’re human. You’re able to confess to God when your feelings and beliefs are not lining up with His Truth. You can ask Him to help you believe what He says is true. Confession helps you to humble yourself and allows you to grow in trust. He hears your requests and answers them. He wants to help you grow your faith. Allah says:
“If they incline to peace, then incline to it also and rely upon Allah. Verily, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing.” (Surah Al-Anfal 8:61)
Trusting God is more than a feeling; it’s a choice to have faith in what He says even when your feelings or circumstances would have you believe something different. Faith doesn’t always take you out of the problem, Faith takes you through the problem. Faith doesn’t always take away the pain, Faith gives you the ability to handle the pain. Faith doesn’t always take you out of the storm, Faith calms you in the midst of the storm.
