The Quran is the literal word of God, Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbu) through the Angel Gabriel. The Quran, Muslims believe is the final testament God revealed for human beings through Prophet Muhammad (SAW), in the seventh century. Guidance is the most precious blessing that one can have. The Quran affirms everything that was revealed to all the previous messengers in the past. The Muslims believe that the guidance in the Quran is for all time and all people. It is only Allah’s Guidance that guides us to the straight path. Allah says:

إِنَّ هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ يَهْدِي لِلَّتِي هِيَ أَقْوَمُ وَيُبَشِّرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ الصَّالِحَاتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا كَبِيرًا

“Indeed, this, the Quran, guides to that which (is) most straight and gives glad tidings to the believers – those who do the righteous deeds, that for them (is) a reward great.” (Surah Al-Isra` 17:9)

The Quran addresses all of the issues that a man faces about his creation as well as his day-to-day affairs. From political to social and from economic to moral, almost all of the aspects of human life. The Quran provides direction to help mankind judge between right and wrong, without which, man would surely be at a loss. The Quran is a manifesto for Muslims only making the argument that the Quran is a book of guidance for Muslims primarily. Muslims and non-Muslims benefit from the universal message of a universal and compassionate God. Allah says:

كِتَابٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ لِيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ

“A book We have sent down to thee, blessed, that men possessed of mind may ponder its signs end so remember..” (Surah Sad 38:29)

The Quran is the unbreakable bond of connection with God; it is a remembrance full of wisdom and a straight path. The Quran does not become distorted by tongues, nor can it be deviated by caprices; it never dulls from repeated study; scholars will always want more of it. The wonders of the Quran are never-ending. Whoever speaks from it will speak the truth, whoever rules with it will be just, and whoever holds fast to it will be guided to the straight path.

Quran is the last book of Allah revealed by the last Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) through an angel (Gabriel) in 23 years for the guidance of mankind. The uniqueness of the Quran over previous books of Almighty Allah is that this book is not specific for a particular nation or a group of people it is for all human beings present on earth without any discrimination and no one can change a single word of the Quran, it is still present in that condition in which it has revealed. Allah says:

بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالزُّبُرِ وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

“With the clear proofs and the Books. And We sent down to you the Remembrance, that you may make clear to mankind, what has been sent down to them and that they may reflect.” (Surah An-Nahl 16:44)

The Quran is the book of Allah; the Creator of the whole universe and every word of this book belongs to Him. No one is born with problems rather problems are created by human beings on their own and they are caused because of the lack of true guidance. The best solution to every problem is to stop creating problems and we can achieve it by having perfect advice which prevents us from harm, darkness and difficulties. The Quran is a book in the form of guidance and the author of this book is the creator of this world.

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran:

• “The Quran itself is light.” [5:15]
• “Indeed the only guidance is Allah’s Guidance!” (Quran 6:7)
• “And worship Allah and associate none with Him.” (Quran 4:36)
• “These are the verses of the book that make things clear.” (Quran 26:2)
• “They are invited to the book of Allah to settle their dispute.” (Quran 3:23)
• “Allah says He has revealed the Quran and He will protect it.” (Quran 15:9)
• “The revelation of The Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise.” (Quran 39:1)
• “And We have revealed the Book to you explaining everything.” (Quran 16:89)
• “Indeed in their stories, there is a lesson for men of understanding.” (Quran 12:111)
• “The Quran is a guidance for mankind… and the distinction (between right and wrong).” (Qur’an 2:185)

The Quran discriminates between right and wrong so that mankind can prevent themselves from harm or deficit The Quran also acknowledges that a divine message has been sent to all in all languages. Allah beautifully created this world and His blessings provide benefits to mankind likewise His book (Quran) is the perfect source of guidance for His creatures. This world is full of mysteries which we are not able to solve or understand by only using our brains so we need a book (Quran) whose writer is the owner of this world. Allah says:

إِنَّاۤ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَیۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ لِلنَّاسِ بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ فَمَنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ فَلِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا یَضِلُّ عَلَیۡهَاۖ وَمَاۤ أَنتَ عَلَیۡهِم بِوَكِیلٍ

“Verily We have revealed the book to you in truth for instructing mankind. He that receives guidance benefits his soul, but he that strays injures his soul.”  (Surat Az-Zumar 39:41)

The Quran is a complete book related to life without any lacking. This book (Quran) is one of the blessings of God because it explains everything. Allah says the Quran contains information about every aspect of life for the guidance of mankind. The Quran is the last scripture revealed by Almighty Allah (God), confirming what little truth remains in parts of previous scriptures and refuting and correcting fabrications and additions which have crept into current-day versions of such scriptures.

We must follow the Quran And Sunnah as well:

1. Recitation of the Quran with reflection and an understanding of its meaning
2. Staying away from all that creates barriers between the heart and Allah
3. Allah does not like arrogance. But he will empower the humble!
4. Allah Owns your happiness so don’t look for it far from him
5. Seeking closeness to Allah by performing voluntary deeds 
6. If Allah wills for it to happen it will happen don’t stress
7. Allah Loves you more than you can ever love him
8. Put Allah first, and you will never be last
9. Admit your weakness & Allah will give you strength
10. Sitting with those who are truthful in their love of Allah
11. The proof is in your actions when nobody can see you except Allah
12. Talk to Allah and tell him your problems because only he can solve them
13. Allah will always make a way for you even when there seems to be no way out
14. Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in their hearts. – Quran 13:11
15. Allah puts people in your life for a reason and removes them from your life for a better reason

The Quran is the only source of guidance for mankind and human beings can achieve success in this world as well in the life hereafter by spending their lives according to the Quran. There are four books which Allah has revealed in this world for the guidance of mankind; Tawrat, Zabur, Injil, and the Quran. These four books belong to Allah and all are equally important but except for the Quran Allah takes the responsibility for its protection from the day of revelation till the last day of the universe. Every word in the Quran is preserved and still the same as thousands of years ago. Allah says:

مَّن يُطِعِ الرَّسُولَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللَّهَ وَمَن تَوَلَّىٰ فَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا

“(He) who obeys the Messenger then surely he obeyed Allah, and whoever turns away – then not We (have) sent you over them (as) a guardian.” (Surah An-Nisaa’ 4:80)

The Quran contains the best of everything that can give satisfaction to a super mind. It is the greatest source of knowledge for mankind. It purifies one’s idea and broadens the vision. The Quran is an unmatched book of guidance for it provides an antidote to all the ills that the human species might suffer, hence, its learning with translation is inseparable sine qua non not only for the Muslims but also for the whole of humanity. Allah says:

وَهَٰذَا كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ مُبَارَكٌ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَاتَّقُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

“And this is a Book which We have revealed as a blessing: so follow it and be righteous, that ye may receive mercy.” (Surah Al-An`am 6:155)

The Quran teaches that the purpose of life is to worship God alone and live one’s life according to the way of life prescribed by Him. In Islam, worship is a comprehensive term that includes all actions and sayings (whether private or public) that Allah loves and is pleased with. Therefore, by doing what Allah commands, a Muslim is worshipping God and fulfilling his purpose in life. May Allah enable us to gain as much from his divine book as possible! Allah says:

وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ 

“And, We have certainly presented for the people in this Qur’an from every [kind of] example – that they might remember.” (Surah Az-Zumar 39:27)

The knowledge found in the Holy Quran is indisputable. The scientific facts revealed in the Quran have been proven true and no one can refute the divine wisdom behind the verses of the Quran. The Quran has been read and studied not only by Muslims but also by many non-Muslim, conscientious scientists and academicians; they have appreciated the Quran and shown respect to it.
