Islam is a complete and comprehensive way of life leading to a balanced way of living. Islam brings civilization and happiness to man. Islamic principles and teachings can provide realistic, fair and objective solutions to the prevention of individual, familial, social and international problems which are threatening the existence of human communities throughout the world. Allah says:
“How (can) you disbelieve in Allah? While you were dead then He gave you life; then He will cause you to die, then He will give you life, then to Him you will be returned.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:28)
Islam encourages its followers to live this worldly life in the best manner and is against abstinence. The first and foremost important thing that can help a believer live life in an Islamic way and achieve success through it is believing in God. Allah says:
“Whoever does righteous deeds whether male or female while he (is) a believer, then surely We will give him l a life good, and We will pay them their reward to (the) best of what they used (to) do.” (Surah An-Nahl 16:97)
Islam is the complete code of life and it gives details and mentions about each and every aspect of life. A spiritual belief that does not deal with social behaviour, economic relations and international organizations is as erroneous as the social doctrine that does not consider spiritual belief, morality, and behaviour. Allah says:
“And for you in the legal retribution (is) life, O men (of) understanding! So that you may (become) righteous.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:179)
Islam integrates all domains of human life, just like the different systems in the human body integrate to provide a complete human being. If one system does not work properly, it has got to affect the whole body. Likewise, Islam proposes systems of laws that integrate all parts of human society to bring happiness and peace to all its members.

When the belief of a Muslim increases in Allah Almighty and he or she realizes the fact that Allah Almighty is the sole provider, He is the Supreme and everything comes from Him, then the belief of the believer becomes strong and out of this belief whatever activity he or she undertakes it comes with conviction, and when something is done with conviction, the chances of success increase naturally. Allah says:
“Those (are) the ones who bought the life (of) the world for the Hereafter; so not will be lightened for them the punishment and not they will be helped.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:86)
The Quran enjoins Man to enter the fold of Islam without any reservation and to follow God’s guidance in all fields of life. Islamic life element that can help a person achieve success is steadfastness. Allah says:
“O you who believe! Respond to Allah and His Messenger when he calls you to what gives you life. And know that Allah comes (in) between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered.” (Surah Al-Anfal 8:24)
When a person is steadfast in times of difficulty or does work with a steadfastness in normal circumstances as well, the ultimate result is success in every activity. Allah Almighty instructs the same to Muslims as well in Quran in the following way. Allah says:
“And not (is) the life (of) the world except a play and amusement; but the home (of) the Hereafter (is) best for those who (are) God-conscious. Then, will you not reason?” (Surah Al-An`am 6:32)
As for Islam, it totally denounces this concept of religion and clearly states that its objectives are the purification of the soul and the reform and reconstruction of society. Being a Muslim it is the primary duty to be good and strives for spreading goodness. Allah says:
“And (he) whom We grant him long life, We reverse him in the creation. Then will not use intellect?” (Surah Ya-Sin 36:68)
When there is goodness all around, the ultimate result is success for all. Therefore, if one wishes to walk in the way of good and receive guidance from Allah Almighty then it is imperative to strive and that too in the way of good for greater guidance and consequent reward. Allah Almighty says in the Quran:
Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran:
- “And consult them in the matter.” (Quran 3:159)
- “Seek the life to come by means of what God has granted you, but do not neglect your rightful share in this world. Do good to others as God has done well to you.” (Quran 28:77)
- “O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do? Great is hatred in the sight of Allah that you say what you do not do.” (Quran 61:2-3)
- “You who believe, be steadfast, more steadfast than others; be ready; always be mindful of God so that you may prosper.” (Quran 3:200)
- “But We shall be sure to guide to Our ways those who strive hard for Our cause: God is with those who do good.” (Quran 29:69)
- “The command is for none but Allah; He has commanded that you obey none but Him; that is the right path.” (Quran 12:40)
One of the major problems of the present world is that people are striving to make their life easier at the cost of making it difficult for others. This approach is wrong and Islam gives the principle of making the life of others easy to achieve success. Allah says:
The wealth and children (are) adornment (of) the life (of) the world. But the enduring good deeds (are) better near your Lord (for) reward and better (for) hope.” (Surah Al-Kahf 18:46)
This world is full of all kinds of temptations, these temptations if not properly dealt with result in a person going down the path of ignorance without even realizing it. Therefore, in order to do so, a Muslim needs to differentiate between right and wrong and stand for the right and forbid the wrong in order to achieve success in the true sense. Allah says:
“Whoever does righteous deeds whether male or female while he (is) a believer, then surely We will give him l a life good, and We will pay them their reward to (the) best of what they used (to) do.” (Surah An-Nahl 16:97)
Islam is divine guidance wherein humans of all nations, colours and tongues feel linked to a Supreme Power and Justice. Its teachings are kept intact and authentic. It is the only way to happiness, dignity, and universal peace. Islam is so unique in its method for solving the problems of humanity. Thus, if Muslims wishes to achieve success, he or she needs to be steadfast in whatever activity they undertake and whatever kind of work they do on a daily basis.
