Creating and nurturing a connection with Allah is the fastest and most beneficial way to increase Faith. This is the foundational requirement for strenghthen the Faith in Allah. Every muslim suffers from dips in their Faith. We all go through the highs and lows of life and our Faith can often be severely affected by it. Regardless of how religious or pious you see yourself to be, Everyone experiences increases and decreases in Faith throughout their life. Allah says:
الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوا إِيمَانَهُم بِظُلْمٍ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمُ الْأَمْنُ وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ
“Those who believed and (did) not mix their belief with wrong, those, for them, (is) the security and they (are) rightly guided.” (Surah Al-An`am 6:82)
Faith is complete belief in Allah, it’s important to understand that increasing your spiritual strength, or your feeling of connectedness to Allah is all about your belief in Allah. Belief is something which can strengthen and weaken, and there are lots of reasons why this happens. Reading the Quran will ensure that you connect to The Creator. Belief in Allah or a weakness in your Faith / Iman, is all to do with understanding who Allah is, and who you are. Allah says:
“Verily, those who had faith and had done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is a great achievement.” (Surah Al-Buruj 85:11)
Faith for a Muslim means accepting, with conviction, the foundational precepts of Islam and the oneness of Allah. Gauge and ask yourself how much knowledge you have of the foundational precepts of Islam and if you have acquired sufficient knowledge to safeguard your Faith. Sometimes when the problems we have take longer to overcome, and we remain in a state of being challenged by life circumstances, the people around us or the negative emotions that we’re feeling, we don’t see a way out. We feel as though our connection with Allah is weak because we don’t have an instant solution.
Six Major Beliefs In Islam:
- Belief in the Oneness of God
- Belief in the Angels of God
- Belief in the Books of God
- Belief in the Prophets or Messengers of God
- Belief in the Day of Judgment
- Belief in the Divine Decree
Faith is the most important foundation for a Muslim to have. As Allah defines someone’s level not by their looks of wealth, but by faith. We live in this world under Allah’s permission, so that everything we do must please Him. Allah has already own everything, so He doesn’t asks anything from us. Allah only want a thing: faith. Faith would defined our fate in the Hereafter to the Day of Judgement, so it’s important for us to have a strong faith. A Muslim with a weak Faith or Imaan is an easy target to the evil whisper of Shaytaan. Allah says:
وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّه فَأُولَئِكَ هُمْ الْكَافِرُونَ
“Whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, then those are the unbelievers.” (Surah Al-Maidah 5:44)
Allah knows what you’re thinking about it He gives you a solution to those problems through your reading. Reading the Quran is a journey that we take, and until you’ve taken that journey to read in a language that you understand, where you reflect on the guidance that Allah gives you. You won’t take the benefit from that journey until you make that journey. The most important benefit that you will get from reading the Quran is that you will feel automatically more connected to your Creator, and you will feel as though your Creator is talking to you.
How to Make My Faith in Islam Stronger:

Faith in Allah enables humans to be thankful for the blessings they enjoy and to be patient in times of difficulty, for they believe that nothing can happen without His will. Make up your mind and have a strong will is important before you do the steps to strengthen you Faith. Pray to Allah so that your heart will be unchanging and keep waking in the path of Allah. Having a strong Faith brings many benefits to us and our life will always be blessed by Allah. Let us fill our heart with love and Faith to Allah. And He will repay our deeds ten times better.
Allah Almighty says in The Holy Quran:
- “Do not despair of the mercy of Allah.” (Az-Zumar, 53)
- “Call upon your Lord humbly and in secret.” (Quran 7:55)
- “There must be no coercion in matters of faith!” (Quran 2: 256)
- “Remembrance of Allah indeed is the greatest virtue.” ( Quran 29:46)
- “…Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” ( Quran 13:28)

Allah is telling us not to despair because everyone is challenged. Everyone has problems, but the mercy of Allah is far greater than any challenge or problem that you and I are facing. So, if there’s one thing that you could do to improve your situation then that would be to connect to The Creator of the heavens and the earth, the one who controls all your affairs and all the affairs of the world.
“Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and to believe in providence both its good and its bad.” (Sahih Muslim 8)
May Allah Almighty enable us to acquire knowledge of the beliefs and practices of Islam in the best manner, allow us to raise our children according to the values of Islam, always protect us from uttering or listening to blasphemous statements, and grant us death as believers in Him. May Allah SWT help us to practice in our daily lives to strengthen and increase our Iman, Ameen.
