Shangrila Resorts – Located at a drive of about 20 minutes from Skardu, Pakistan. It is also known as “Heaven on Earth”. The peaceful place was called Shangri-la, a Tibetan word meaning “Heaven on earth“. Shangrila was built in 1983 with the inaugural of the first Resort Hotel in Skardu, Baltistan by Brig. (Retd) Muhammad Aslam Khan of Pakistan Army. It is situated at a height of 2500 meters. The area is more commonly known as “The Roof of the World“.
Shangrila has got natural beauty. It is cushioned between some of the world’s highest peaks. The small heart-shaped lake set in a narrow valley between partially snow-covered peaks also sets the scene for a fantastic resort. This heart shaped Lake is known as “Kachura Lake” or “Shangrila Lake”. This Lake is a part of Shangrila Resorts.
