There is only one universal God: Allah

IMPORTANCE OF COMPILATION OF QURAN

The Quran is the last holy book that Allah sent down to people. The Quran was sent down to the Prophet Hz. Muhammad (PBUH) through Gabriel (Jibril) and then it reached today through being written down and reported. The Holy Quran does not just comprise of teachings about the past nations but also encloses life-transforming instructions and guidelines from the Gracious Lord. Allah says:

وَهَٰذَا كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ مُبَارَكٌ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَاتَّقُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

“And this is a Book which We have revealed as a blessing: so follow it and be righteous, that ye may receive mercy.” (Surah Al-An`am 6:155)

Quran is the 4th and last sacred Holy Book of Almighty Allah. Quran is the Book of guidance for the whole of mankind. It was revealed on our beloved Prophet (SAW) who is the last Prophet of Allah Almighty. Quran is the Divine book towards which Muslims turn when there is any problem because the Quran has the solution to every problem and it is a guide for every aspect of life. Allah says:

Blessed Book was uncovered in Arabic, we ought to know the interpretation to follow up on it however to the extent perusing is concerned, We ought to recount it in Arabic and for which learning Arabic standards and regulations is the first step.

This purpose of Quran revelation is mentioned in the Quran in the following way:

  •  “The Quran is guidance and glad tidings for those who believe.”(al-Baqara, 2-97).
  • “We know best what they say; and thou art, not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur’an such as fear My Warning!” (Surah Qaf, 45)
  • “We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him: this is no less than a Message and a Qur’an making things clear.” (Surah Yasin, 69)
  • “And, We have certainly presented for the people in this Qur’an from every [kind of] example – that they might remember.” (Quran, 39: 27)
  • “And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition?” (Surah Al-Qamar, 17)
  • “Had We sent down this Qur’an on a mountain, verily, thou wouldst have seen it humble itself and cleave asunder for fear of Allah. Such are the similitudes which We propound to men, that they may reflect.” (Surah Al-Hashr, 21)
  • “We have put forth for men, in this Qur’an every kind of Parable, in order that they may receive admonition.” (Surah Az-Zumar, 27)
  • “O you who have been given the Scripture! Believe in what We have revealed confirming what is (already) with you…” Qur’an 4:47)
  • The Qur’an as a guide to mankind also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong)…”(al-Baqara, 2-185)
  • “Verily this Qur’an doth guide to that which is most right (or stable), and giveth the Glad Tidings to the Believers who work deeds of righteousness, that they shall have a magnificent reward.” (Surah Al-Isra, 9)
  • “If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Qur’an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support.” (Surah Al-Isra, 88)
  • “As to thee, the Qur’an is bestowed upon thee from the presence of one who is wise and all-knowing.” (Surah An-Naml, 6)
  •  “O you who believe! Bow down and prostrate yourselves and worship your Lord, that you may succeed.” (Qur’an 22:77)
  • And We have certainly made the Qur’an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?” (Quran, 54:17)
  • “A Book (the Quran) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may receive admonition.” (Quran, 38:29)

Holy Quran is a book of wisdom. All Muslims believe that all of us have to die and we will be gathering on the Day of Judgment in front of Allah with all the Good and bad deeds we have done in life. The Holy Quran is essential to the life of every Muslim or we can say that it is a living reality. Holy Quran is a communication from Allah (SWT) in which He is directly addressing every person. Allah says:

“Then (do) not they ponder (on) the Quran? And if it had (been) from other than Allah, surely they (would have) found in it much contradiction.” (Surah An-Nisa` 4:82)

The importance of the Quran is that it is a path to Allah; it is a way to find Allah… and it is such a way that Allah likes us to find him. Muslims believes that the Quran is the word of god and it was given to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Allah says:

“O mankind! Verily has come to you instruction from your Lord, and a healing for what (is) in your breasts, and guidance and mercy for the believers.” (Surah Yunus 10:57)

The purpose of the Quran is to bring blessings to a person and it instigates the spirit of monitoring in the readers. There is no denying the instructional importance of the Quran for a Muslim. The Qur’an tells us about what happened before and what is yet to come and it is a reference for judging between us.  It’s the true guide for humanity; it teaches everyone how to lead a good life, avoid alcohol so that you can concentrate on Allah, how to respect people.
