Happiness, tranquillity and inner peace can be achieved by converting to Islam. At the core of Islam is the focus of an individual’s personal relationship with God, their Creator. It encourages a believer to have sustained awareness of God which is a key to lasting happiness. Islam teaches that God is the source of peace. Islam gives a person a clear perspective on the events that happen in their life, both good and bad, as they are, in fact, tests from God. Allah says:
“Recite what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Verily, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, but the remembrance of Allah is greater.” (Al-Ankabut 29:45)
The Quran is the basic law that outlines the details of a Muslim’s life. In it, we find mention of political, social, economic, moral and other aspects. God does not call people to do evil, mischief or commit wrongdoings. We need to discover Islam in its purity, entirety and from its authentic sources. Islam is to submit to Allah in His Oneness to be subservient to Him in obedience and to shun associating any partners, rivals, and intercessors with Him. It is a religion of tolerance and ease. Allah says:
“Remember your Lord in yourselves with humility and in private without announcing it in the mornings and evenings, and do not be among the heedless.” (Surah Al-A’raf 7:205)

Islam encourages the believer to remain free from the extremes of worldly happiness that may cause one to forget God and the extremes of sadness that may cause one to lose hope and blame God. Islam is a religion through which one would be spiritually contented and would have peace of heart. Allah says:
“So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. Adhere to the nature of Allah upon which He has created all people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion, but most people do not know.” (Surah Ar-Rum 30:30)
The Quran explains that Islam is a faith that lays down a complete way of life. It also comprises a complete system of verbal and practical acts of worship. God loves the people who love Him and forgives their sins. A Muslim believes in all the Messengers and Prophets of God without any discrimination.
Allah Almighty says in The Holy Quran:
- “Only the saying, “Peace! ” (Al-Waqia, 26)
- “Truly Allah loves the Muttaqin.” (Quran, 3:76)
- “Enter ye here in peace and security.” (Al-Hijr, 46)
- “Truly the religion with Allah is Islam.” (Quran: 3:19)
- “Guidance for those conscious of Allah.” (Quran, 2:2)
- “Then We will save the ones who had taqwa.” (Quran, 19:72)
- “It describes reconciliation as the best policy.” (Quran: 4:128)
- “Truly, in remembering God do hearts find rest.” (Quran 13:28)
- “Have taqwa of Allah in order that you might succeed.” (Quran, 3:200)
- “Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship.” (Quran 2:185)
- “So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)!” (Maryam, 33)
- “When the Qur’an is read, listen to it with attention, and hold your peace: that ye may receive Mercy.” (Al-Araf, 204)
Islam teaches that God is the Most Merciful and will forgive and pardon those who sincerely want to repent. Islam is an attributive title that signifies obedience to God, the Creator of the Universe. One of its main beauties is that it acknowledges the complete perfection, greatness, and uniqueness of God with absolutely no compromises. Allah says:
“As for him who feared to stand before his Lord and he restrained himself from his desires, then Paradise will be his refuge.” (Surah An-Naziat 79:40)
Islam counsels us to follow a better path to respond to their evil with good. Islam is the original religion that gives Muslims peace of mind and requires us to submit to the will of God. The most rational explanation for the many unique and miraculous aspects of the Quran is that it cannot be from other than God. Allah says:
“O you who believe, remember Allah with much remembrance and exalt Him in the morning and evening.” (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:41)
God creates in humans the mind to understand, the soul and conscience to be good and righteous, the feelings and sentiments to be kind and humane. If we try to count His favours upon us, we cannot, because they are countless. God does not need anything from us, because He is Needless and Independent. We should pray to Allah Almighty to guide us towards the right path and help us become pious and righteous Muslims. Ameen!
