God created the order of the universe in superb detail to allow man to grasp that God is the master designer who brings order and purpose to his creation, and he rules over it with compassion and mercy. We need to get God’s help to turn situations around. There is nothing too hard for God. He is limitless in power and ability. Things that look impossible to us are nothing before Him. There is no sickness too great and no problem too overwhelming that God cannot overcome. Allah says:
وَإِن تَعُدُّوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَآ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ
“If you tried to count Allah’s blessings, you would never be able to number them. Surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surah An-Nahl 16:18)
God is the Creator of all of mankind and of this universe and everything in it. He also wants you to come to Him simply to spend time with Him. You should not let your circumstances shape your relationship with God. Don’t let your emotions rule your life; bring them to God so He can help you address them. He is not disappointed or frustrated by your struggles, doubts or pain. He cares about you, and you can trust Him with those things. God calls you to give thanks. He is always working in your life and in the world. Allah says:
“If you love Allah, then follow Allah’s love for you, and He will forgive you your sins. And Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surah Ali ‘Imran 3:31)
Life is rolling with the waves, and all we can do is ride out the waves and pray for the best. God guides those who deserve His guidance. He guides those whose hearts incline to Him. The happiest people are those who have found that Allah is enough. We must have firm faith in the doctrine that everything that happens is made to happen by the power and will of Allah.
How to receive the light of Allah in your heart and trust Allah never loses hope:
- Allah provides us with the lens through which to form our outlook
- Allah created people to reflect His image, to rule over creation
- Allah has left us with a wealth of knowledge in the Quran

- Allah allows us to gain knowledge that changes our outlook on life
God created the order of the universe in superb detail. God never promised us that life would be easy. God has created this world for a specific test of human beings. The test is composed of ‘purification of their souls’, which is another name for ‘personality development. The person who purifies his/her personality from moral filth will be successful in both this test world and the real world, which is the hereafter. Allah says:
فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
“When you have made the decision, then rely upon Allah. Verily, Allah loves those who trust Him.” (Surah Al Imran 3:159)
God’s wisdom, knowledge, and might are infinite. God is capable of giving things that humans cannot imagine, and He is the ultimate source of help when no one else can help. Man must seek to appreciate the extent of God’s knowledge and reflect to comprehend His greatness. God is with those who fear Him (keep their duty unto Him) and the good-doers.
Purpose of our Creation:
- Why does God need to test us? God created us and allowed us to know Him. God knows the future – the point is, for us to live through and experience our lives and make our own choices.
- Do we really have a choice? The fact that God knows our choices does not make it any less voluntary. But in His Wisdom, He has created us with the ability to choose and made us accountable for our choices.
- Why doesn’t God just reveal Himself? In God’s wisdom, He has chosen to make Himself known through His signs. This is part of the test of this life. He has made it our responsibility to use the abilities He has given us to acknowledge Him.
- Why is there suffering in the world? The fact that different people are tested in different ways through various trials does not disprove the existence of God nor contradict an all-powerful God. This world is volatile and temporary; however, the full justice in the hereafter, which is everlasting, will more than compensate for any injustices or misfortunes in this life.
- Why does God punish people? No one can disagree with the concept of punishment, which is necessary for justice. God has created us with the ability to choose how we want to live, and in turn, be accountable. Those who sincerely strive to obey God will earn God’s mercy and enter paradise.
Allah Almighty Says in the Holly Quran:
- “Do not fear for Allah is with us.” (Quran 09:40)
- “He is the Disposer of all Affairs.” (Quran 6:102)
- “Allah is sufficient as Disposer of Affairs.” (Quran 4:81)
- “Verily, We created man of the best stature.” (Quran 95:4)
- “And in Allah let the believers put their trust.” (Quran 5:11)
- “Indeed, God is free from the need of the worlds.” (Quran 29:6)
- “Do you worship what you have carved yourself?” (Quran 37:95)
- “If you love God, then follow me. God will love you.” (Quran 3:31)
- “No calamity strikes except by God’s permission…” (Quran 64:11)
- “Certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).” (Quran: 3:159)
- “Whoever relies upon Allah, then He will suffice him.” (Surah Al-Talaq 65:3)
God is the decision-maker; every happening is in favour of the believers, because everything has been planned for the benefit of religion and the hereafter of the believers. We all will be tested by Allah, and therefore we will pass through times that would seem difficult to us.
Here are some signs of Allah, which help us better understand the different schemes of life:
- Signs that there are so many different kinds of animals and plants
- Signs to create the earth with its mountains, rivers and seas
- Signs of the tiny grains of pollen on a flower
- Signs to create magnificent stars in the sky
- Signs of heavy ships to float on water
- Signs of clouds are made of water
- Signs of bringing seeds to life
- Signs of water getting up into the sky
- Signs of the Earth have so much water
- Signs cause the wind to change and blow
- Signs of all plants have their characteristics
- Signs that two-thirds of the Earth is covered by water (the sea)
- Signs of the clouds coming and going between different seasons
God created human beings as equals. God created every human soul with some knowledge of His existence. God is a powerful and strict judge who will be merciful toward followers depending on the sufficiency of their life’s good works and religious devotion. We should consciously thank Allah for the smallest of things to the biggest of things.
“And Allah increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for recourse.”(Surah Maraym 19:76)
Allah created a world in which evil or good can be done by beings to whom He gave this ability. Faith doesn’t always take you out of the problem; faith takes you through the problem. Faith doesn’t always take away the pain; faith gives you the ability to handle the pain. Faith doesn’t always take you out of the storm; faith calms you in the midst of the storm. The Quran is a guidebook teaching us how to worship God most purely and thereby achieve our purpose in life.
