Muslims believe in only one God. Prophets are people who God chose to speak for Him. They believe in many prophets including Abraham, Moses and even Jesus Christ, but they do not think that he is the son of God. Muhammad was the last and most perfect of Allah’s prophets. He received messages from Him and brought them to the people. Allah says:
“Whoever does righteous deeds whether male or female while he (is) a believer, then surely We will give him l a life good, and We will pay them their reward to (the) best of what they used (to) do.” (Surah An-Nahl 16:97)
Islam is a complete and comprehensive way of life leading to a balanced way of living. Islam brings civilization and happiness to man. Islam encourages its followers to live this worldly life in the best manner and is against abstinence. The first and foremost important thing that can help a believer live life in an Islamic way and achieve success through it is believing in God. Allah says:
“How (can) you disbelieve in Allah? While you were dead then He gave you life; then He will cause you to die, then He will give you life, then to Him you will be returned.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:28)
Islam is the complete code of life and it gives details and mentions about each and every aspect of life. The Holy Book of Islam is the Quran. It is the word of Allah as He told it to Muhammad. Muslims believe that God created the universe. They also believe that all children are born without sin and that all people can lead themselves to salvation once God has chosen the way for them.

Muslims know that God is pleased with those who follow His guidance and display good morals and manners to those around them, we try to become the most humble, kind, fair and honest people we can be. We endeavour to treat our family, friends and neighbours –whether Muslim on non-Muslim– in the best way possible. And we strive to build good relations amongst communities so that our cities and towns become the best and happiest place to live that they can possibly be. Allah says:
“And for you in the legal retribution (is) life, O men (of) understanding! So that you may (become) righteous.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:179)
Islam has a beginning and end. Those who embrace Islam are called Muslims. The word Muslim is derived from the word Peace. The traditional Muslim greeting is peace be unto you. Allah always wants to forgive people who have committed sins. Muslims believe that on the Last Day when the world comes to an end each person will be rewarded with heaven or punished with hell. Allah says:
“Those (are) the ones who bought the life (of) the world for the Hereafter; so not will be lightened for them the punishment and not they will be helped.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:86)
Islam integrates all domains of human life, just like the different systems in the human body integrate to provide a complete human being. The Quran enjoins Man to enter the fold of Islam without any reservation and to follow God’s guidance in all fields of life. Islamic life element that can help a person achieve success is steadfastness.
Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran:
- “And consult them in the matter.” (Quran 3:159)
- “And the Hereafter is better for you than the first life.” (Quran 93:4)
- “The life of this world is merely the enjoyment of delusion.” (Quran 3:185)
- “I have not created men except that they should serve Me.” (Quran, 51:56)
- “you have that day, nor for you will there be any denial.” (Ash-Shura 42:47)
- “I have created the jinn and humankind only for My worship.” (Quran, 51:56)
- “For them will be a home of peace in the presence of their Lord: He will be their friend because they practised (righteousness).” (Surah Al-Anam, 127)
Islam is a religion that balances worldly life and the life to come. A man has always been greedy by nature and has wished for more than he should own. No wonder why the world is constantly moving in the direction of increased acquisitiveness. The Religion of Peace greatly emphasizes the importance of adopting moderation in every matter of life. Allah says:
“O you who believe! Respond to Allah and His Messenger when he calls you to what gives you life. And know that Alla
The Quran for Muslims is a source of divine blessing and merit, tranquillity and guidance. The Qur’an regulates the filial relation of a child to parents and their responsibilities toward the child. It regulates the relations of a Muslim to fellow Muslims and non-Muslims, the relationship of a subject to the state and its ruling authorities, and the relationship of a human being to God. Allah says:
“And not (is) the life (of) the world except a play and amusement; but the home (of) the Hereafter (is) best for those who (are) God-conscious. Then, will you not reason?” (Surah Al-An`am 6:32)
Islam is so unique in its method for solving the problems of humanity. Islam is the response to humanity’s search for meaning. Allah didn’t create anything without purpose everything is created due to some reason and has some purpose in life. Being a Muslim it is the primary duty to be good and strives for spreading goodness. Allah says:
“And (he) whom We grant him long life, We reverse him in the creation. Then will not use intellect?” (Surah Ya-Sin 36:68)
This world is full of all kinds of temptations, these temptations if not properly dealt with result in a person going down the path of ignorance without even realizing it. Therefore, in order to do so, a Muslim needs to differentiate between right and wrong and stand for the right and forbid the wrong in order to achieve success in the true sense. Allah says:
The wealth and children (are) adornment (of) the life (of) the world. But the enduring good deeds (are) better near your Lord (for) reward and better (for) hope.” (Surah Al-Kahf 18:46)
God describes this life as a test, and people are tested in different ways. A Muslim must always remember to be kind while living on Earth. Every living and non-living thing is Allah’s creation and one should try to be kind to them all. We can thus lead to fulfilling lives by bringing more Islam into our lives. We should fulfil this purpose of our life by following Allah’s commands given in the Quran.
