Trust in Allah and recite the Quran on a daily basis

Trust And Depend On Allah

Trust can never be realized by mere words and claims, rather, it is an internal and esoteric issue, which finds its roots in faith and belief. So trust is about the result and not the means. And they know that Allah is always Watching and Hearing everything in the universe and nothing is hidden from Him, therefore, they never feel alone. Go about your day knowing that Allah will fully provide for you. Pour your heart into your work and life but leave the rest to Allah. Allah says:

“And they say, “(We pledge) obedience” Then when they leave [from] you, plan by night a group of them other than that which you say. But Allah records what they plan by night. So turn (away) from them and put (your) trust in Allah. And sufficient is Allah (as) a Trustee.” (Surah An-Nisa 4:81)

Depending on Allah and believing that He is the One Who causes measures to be effective; His decree comes to pass; He has decreed all things, counted them out and ordained them, may He be glorified and exalted. When you fully trust Allah magical things happen. Cancer that’s suddenly cured. Relationships that you never thought were possible, eventually work out.  Allah loves those who put their trust in Him. Allah says:

“O you who believe! (Do) not betray Allah and the Messenger, or betray your trusts while you know.” (Surah Al-Anfal 8:27)

Trust in Allah is one of the best ways a servant can worship his Creator. It is internal worship residing within the heart. It is also one of the causes of attaining the love of Allah. The level of trust in Allah varies from one person to another. Trust in Allah in its complete form occurs due to the believers’ “contentment with Him, their faith in Him, they are being pleased with Him and they’re seeking their needs from Him.

Here are some reasons to put our trust in Allah and depend on Him:

Financial support comes out of nowhere. Dreams that you never thought were possible for you, start happening right before your eyes. Don’t let your circumstances determine your faith in Allah. Even if everything is pointing in the complete opposite direction of what you desire, make immense dua and trust that Allah will make a way for you. Allah says:

“Only the secret counsels (are) from the Shaitaan that he may grieve those who believe, but not he (can) harm them (in) anything except by Allah’s permission. And upon Allah let put (they’re) trust the believers.” (Surah Al-Mujadilah 58:10)

Taking appropriate measures; putting one’s trust in Allah does not mean refraining from taking measures; rather part of putting one’s trust in Allah is taking appropriate measures and striving to do so. The one who refrains from doing so has gone against the laws and decree of Allah. Allah has commanded us to take appropriate measures and He encourages us to do so; He commanded His Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) to do that. Allah says:

“Whoever relied upon Allah, then He will suffice him.” (Surah Al-Talaq 65:3)

True believers realize that nothing happens except with the Will of Allah and that He never Wills anything except that it has wisdom behind it. They know that only Allah alone is in control at all times. Allah has promised good in this life and the next towards those who put their trust in Him, the true believers never lose hope in Him and are always satisfied with His decision of their affairs.

Allah constantly emphasizes the believers, Allah says:

  • And Allah loves the steadfast.” (Al Imran: 146)
  • “And in Allah let the believers put their trust.” (Quran 5:11)
  • “Certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).” (Quran: 3:159)
  • “So put thy Trust in Allah. for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth.” (An-Naml 79)
  • “And put thy Trust in Allah, and enough is Allah as a disposer of affairs.” (Al-Ahzab, 3)
  • “…place your trust in Allah. Surely, Allah loves those who place their trust in Him.” (Q. 3:159)

Praise be to Allah is an example of your deep faith in Allah. Allah’s blessings are countless. We should not try to find a reason to thank Allah but we should be grateful and keep thanking Allah for everything. If you are praised Allah, He will increase your blessings and rewards and give you even more than what you ask for, that is the beauty of our Allah.

How to Rely on Allah?

  • Do not confuse reliance on laziness: Rather striving and working with the attitude that Allah will take care of your affairs and will help you in getting through your trials is part of you relying on Allah.
  • Do not become arrogant: You should always plan and work based on what Allah has blessed you with.
  • Accept Allah’s Decisions: After your best efforts, accept whatever happens.
  • Take all precautions: We must avoid a common pitfall. We tend to either rely on our efforts or forget to trust Allah.
  • Benefits of Tawakkul: Tawakkul is part of the completion of one’s faith. We should do everything available to us to reach our goals. We need to apply tawakkul in our daily lives.

Trust in Allah) is a jar that has been sealed with Allah’s seal. Putting trust in Allah, for gaining the benefits, having protection from harm, gaining provisions, having victory over the enemies, healing the patients and many other things. Invest your efforts in the journey but let go of your attachment to the outcome. You plant the seed and let Allah grow the tree. Allah says:

“So put your trust in Allah, indeed, you (are) on the truth manifest.” (Surah An-Naml 27:79)

Tell Allah everything as you do with your best friend. Share your fears, your worries, your dreams, your goals, your passions and anything else that matters to you. When you express your vulnerability to Allah, you begin to develop this unwavering conviction, that no matter what happens, Allah will be enough for you. There is only so much we can control about our lives, and to be able to deal with the rest we need to rely upon and trust God. Allah says:

“When you have made the decision, then rely upon Allah. Verily, Allah loves those who trust Him.” (Surah Al Imran 3:159)

Trust is to look at what is Imaan. It is not just having faith in the heart, but it is a combination of faith and action. Establishing a close connection with Allah requires work. Sometimes we feel that His rules are difficult to obey. Similarly, depending on Allah does not mean giving up on your efforts. Rather it is to strive with the attitude that Allah will take care of your affairs and will help you get through the trials. Allah says:

“O you who believe! (Do) not betray Allah and the Messenger, or betray your trusts while you know.” (Surah Al-Anfal 8:27)

Allah is the decision-maker, every happening is in favour of the believers: because everything has been planned for the benefit of religion and the hereafter of the believers. For that reason, believers trust and rely only on Allah. Don’t give yourself the headache of ‘how’ and ‘when’ things will work out because your egoic mind will never be satisfied. Many people accept it in theory but deny it in Practice.
